昨日、とても感動的なテレビ番組を見ました。
There was a couple.

二人は高校生の頃から気が合い、お付き合いを始めました。
When they graduated from high school, a boyfriend joined the military.

そしてイラクから後２ヶ月と言うときに。。
He steps on mine…
He lost arms and legs…

彼女さんはと言うと。。
やっぱり迷いますよねぇ。。
これからの事もあるし。。

She stayed with him.
She quit her job and nurtured him.
She knew they can overcome their difficulty.

彼女さんの頑張りで、彼はなんと！
３ヶ月で技師を付けて歩けるようになったのです！！！

My goodness, there are so many great story in U.S…
アイオワ州出身の二人が、アイオワ州に戻った時、町が彼らを歓迎したそうです。

先日、私の赤ちゃんの性別がわかりました！
My child is a baby boy!

I can’t express how happy I am to have a boy in my life!
私の家族は女家系なので、てっきり女の子かと思いきや！

Well, I heard boy is very playful!
女の子の方が大人になるのが早いらしく。。

男の子、女の子への思いは両親により、賛否両論ですが男の子の方が、子供でいるのが長くて良いという人もいます。

I hope my boy will be healthy and happy when he comes to this world!
どちらにしても初産なので、生まれた後は頑張って育てていけたらと願います。

先日行われたＤｅＮＡの始球式で、サプライズでプロポーズをした男性がいます！！

This is a dream come true for girls, isn’t it?
I say I would be very happy!!

彼女さんは感動のあまり涙涙。。
日本にもこんな紳士で且つ意気な事をする人が、まだ存在するのですねぇ！

I am very proud to be Japanese!!
He must of plan this from months before!

野球場はたくさんの人で盛り上がっていましたが、これを機にさらに盛り上がった事でしょう！

奇跡の犬

Good evening everyone!
Today is a rainy day!
How are you all doing?

今日はかわいそうなパトリックという犬のお話をしましょう！
He was thrown at the garbage area and inside the plastic bag.

ガリガリに痩せこけたパトリックを見たごみ収集車の人は、変死だと思いパトリックを獣医さんにみせたそうです。

What do you know?
He was alive!!!
わずかな呼吸ではありましたが、パトリックは生きていたのです！
それから数日２４時間体制で獣医さん達は変わり代わりにパトリックの面倒をみました。

CNN has announced about Patrick and many people donate money.
なんと集まったお金は３日で３００万！！
さすがアメリカ！
その義捐金はパトリックの治療費、医療費になったそうです。

I am proud of those veterinarians!
I am mad at the owner of Patrick!
犬を飼えないなら初めから買うべきでなかったと思います。

Well, I hope you will take a good care of your pets!
動物を飼うと決めた人は、最後まで面倒をみなくてはいけないのではと思います。

Good evening!

今日は１３歳でエベレストに登った少女の話をしましょう。

She is an Indian girl from India.
インドには階級があるらしく、彼女は最下位のダリットと言う階級の子供だそうな。

Her name is Malavath Poorna.
エベレストを登る為に、ヒマラヤ山脈で練習を始めたのは去年の９月だったそうです。
彼女がヒマラヤを登った事は、ヒマラヤン　データベースで認められているそうです。

Her parents must be proud of her!
今年、イッテＱでエベレストを目指したいもとの願い届かず、彼女はエベレストを断念したにもかかわらず、１３歳の女の子は登れたという。

Do you believe it?
She went from China-Tibet side.
彼女はネパールの友人と他１０名の登山ガイドと共に頂上を目指したそうです。

Do you like mountain?
Have you ever climbed the mountain before?
私はハワイのオワフ島のダイアモンドヘッド、マウイ島のハレアカラ、などに行った事があります。

It is not a long walk.
It is very nice to walk but yet, it is not always easy to climb the mountain.
山は天候の変化が速いので、気を付けなければいけません。

しかし、１３歳でもし本当にエベレストに登れたとしたら、本当にすごい事です！悲しい事に、中国そしてネパールの政府は彼女がエベレストを登った事を認めていないそうです。

I hope this story is true!
It is an amazing story and I love to share this story to my student!
本当であれば、人は諦めなければ必ず目標に達する事が出来ると生徒さんに教えてあげたいですね！

Congradulation to Yu!

今日は山田優さんが妊娠６ヶ月だと聞きました！
Congratulation!

Many people are getting pregnant!
This year must be something special!
I enjoy this year a lot!!

しかし、アメリカはサンタバーバラで悲しい事件があり残念です。
お金持ちの学生が、自分がモテないからと言って６名の生徒を銃で殺害してしまいました。



This happens because the parents don’t pay much attention to the kids.
お金持ちのお家ではよくある話だと聞いています。

For their birthday, the parents only send expensive gifts and they are traveling around the world.
お金があって愛情がって。
この二つが一緒になるのは、難しいのでしょうか。

I hope there will be no crimes like this in the world.
親の愛情が欠けると起こる事件が少なくなると良いですね。

今週はおめでたい事が続きますねぇ！！
先週、沖縄にお越しになっていた高円宮さまの次女さま、ご結婚が決まりましたね！



It must have been the last chance for both of them to travel together.
あまりにもタイムリーな事で、とても嬉しかったです！



On top of this great news, Hikaru Utada also had a wedding reception in Europe!!
なんて奇遇な！
一週間にいっぺんに２つ良い知らせがあるなんて！！

This week must be something very special and romantic!
昨日、家の母も出張から帰って来てお土産がたくさん！

Of course, I will be sharing it with my students!

In Hawaii, White Macadamia Nut Cookie is the most famous one!

あぁ、ハワイが懐かしい。。

やっと普通の日常が戻って来た！っと思った瞬間！！

Oh my goodness, aren’t they wonderful?!

最高の試合で、本当に満足のいく試合でしたね！！
I am very proud of our girls’ soccer team!

高校の頃、サッカーしていた事もあって、嬉しさが倍増しました！！
そんな事を思っている間に、なんと私も妊娠５ヶ月に突入し！

I am happy that my baby is healthy and I am getting my life back!!!
I cannot believe how healthy and happy I am!!!

明日まで母が出張中なので、実家のわんちゃんの面倒を見なくてはいけませんが、カワイイわんちゃんなので面倒を見るのが楽しいくらいです♪

How are you doing today?
今日は天気を確認せず洗濯機を回し、干してしまい、おもいっきりお洋服が濡れてしまった残念なお知らせです(/_;)

Well, we are now listening to Miss. Obokata's interview.

さて、彼女はなぜその様な間違えを犯してしまったのか。

Why do you think she did?
きっと結論を早く出したい。早くこの実験をもっと活用出来るよう、政府からの援助が欲しかったのではないのか。などが、私の意見です。

She checked and checked the data, I'm sure. Therefore, if this was questioned in U.S., her allegation would be denied because it is a bit too difficult to believe.

ハーバード大学の教授はこの件について、撤回はしない、と言う意見だがこれが米国で法的に問われた場合、どの様な対応をするのかは、興味深い所だと私は思う。

I hope she will never make mistake like this from now on.
間違えは誰にでもあるとは思いますが、公に出る場合、これだけの事になる前に、もっとちゃんと調べなければいけないと思います。

We should be more careful.
これは他の人だけではなく、私たちもまた、人に話すときなどに相手の気持ちを考えた上で話すのが大切な事なんだと、この事件からまた考えさせられました。

I hope she will move on with her life. She apologized for her original way of dealing with her scientific experiment but that's not the place to apologize.

ここまで世間を騒がせたのだから、これからもっと素晴らしい結果をこの日本から発信して行くべきだと思います。

今日もまたつわりと戦う私ですが。。

I will talk about children today!
今日は私のマンションに住んでいるカワイイ子供たちの話をしたいと思います。

We have a whiteboard in the elevator.
そのホワイトボードに、英語で自分のサインを書いた子がいます。

Aren’t they adorable?
可愛すぎて、自然と笑みが浮かびました♪

When do you use them?
日本ではあまりサインをする機会がないのに、一体どこで使うのだろうか?

If you are in the foreign country, say U.S., you use the signature for the check.
しかし日本で小切手を子供の頃から使う事はないし。。。

Is it when you get famous?
いつか有名になるのを夢見て書いたのか。
などなど、子供のすることなすこと不思議な事が本当に多いです。

I love it!!
They have their own community and they live in that world.
子供の世界にはもう戻れないけれど、その子たちを観察するのは楽しいです。

I hope my kid will be an interesting person!!
そんな事を期待しながら、また明日へと向かいます。

Today, we had a sunny day!!

暖かい日差しに包まれてとても嬉しい日でした♪

今日はハワイのお話をしましょう！

Yesterday, I saw a T.V. and they talked about Hawaii!
ハワイと言えば私の第二の故郷です。
そのテレビの中で、ＺＩＰＰＹ‘Ｓっというレストランがスタッフの背後に写っていました。

I went to this mall many times.
They have Okinawan restaurant, Korean supermarket, 24 hour open restaurant, Zippy’s and exc.

ヴァイオレット、もし私の記憶が正しければ、沖縄のレストランの名前です。
そして、そのモールの中心部に韓国のスーパーがあり、そこでは入ってすぐ左に韓国料理を売っているお店があり、そこの韓国ソーセージがなんとも絶妙な味を出していました。

At the Zippy’s, you can enjoy Zippy’s chilies. You sometimes put little bit of mayonnaise on top of the chilies and oh, it tastes heavenly!
ジッピーズは沖縄の人が経営されていました。今はどうかわかりませんが、とてもハワイの人には、親しまれているレストランです。

I used to study, cruise, and enjoy the food there!
カハラのジッピーズには、お寿司屋さんも入りました。
It is one of the unique restaurants in Hawaii!

いつか生徒さんを連れて、またハワイに行きたいですね!
楽しむだけでなく、学びに行くという楽しみを抱いてハワイへ行くと、また一味違うハワイを楽しむ事が出来るのです。

Hawaii has many great places to study for students!
たまに美味しいデザートに目が行き過ぎて、邪魔をする場合がありますが、そこもまた楽しい旅のだいご味です。

Oh, I will definitely have fun with my students!!
Students will not only have fun but able to learn a lot from just going to Hawaii!!
数年後に成功させたい旅行の一つですね!

何度思い出しても胸が締め付けられる思いです。
We are living.

今日は少し曇っていますが、みなさんどうお過ごしですか?

For me, I found my womb started to make beating sound!!!
まだまだ６ミリで小さなものですが、心拍数を確認出来ました!

Oh, it gives me ravishing feeling…
こ～んなに小さくて生きているの?っと聞きたくなるほど。。

Well, everything is going great!
それはさておき、みなさん最近本土の方では気候だけではなく、通り魔殺人が増えていますねぇ。。

恐いだけではなく、私達に何が出来るのでしょう。

They say hi to people who look sad.
でも声をかけられた人がストーカーになるケースも少なくありません。

I hope people will feel happy by doing what they like.

昨日から少し雨が降り始めていますね。
How are you doing?

少し気温も下がりまだまだ春まではもう少し掛かりそうです。
Are you expecting the spring to arrive soon?

来月は本土の方で桜が見られるので、テレビを通してもちょっと楽しみです。
Do you like cheery blossom?
I love cheery blossom!

桜を見ると、自分が一年生の入学式で桜が咲いていた事を思い出します。
What does spring reminds you of?
Is it cheery blossom?
Is it the wind?
What is it?

私は春に生まれたので、春が大好きです。
Do you like when you were born?
Why do you suppose you like the season?
Is it because it is when you were born?
If not, why would you like that season?

春は私にとって優しい風が吹く、緑の丘で日曜日の昼下がりにピクニックをしながら、涼むというイメージがあります。

I like spring because it makes me feel reborn from the winter.
Winter is cold and windy. It makes me feel a little lonely.

でも冬は冬でたくさん良い所があります！
I like winter next to spring.
Winter, we can dress up. (今は若干難しいですが。。)
You can feel the cold air on your face.
Eat the winter orange in front of the T.V.

季節によって様々な日々が送れますね。
I hope the warm and cool season of spring will start soon.

今年英語を教える事が出来るのも、後７，８ヶ月弱になります。
I will miss all my students.
Until then, I would do my best to teach my students as much as possible!

仕事をお休みするのは何十年ぶりになりますが、今お仕事が出来る間を大切にして、お産に励みたいと思います。

I hope I will come back to work as soon as I can next year!
それまで妊娠を楽しみながら、生徒さん達と和気あいあいな時間を過ごして、楽しい英語のクラスを展開していきたいと思います♪

Morning Sickness!

How are you all doing?
今週は一日ずつブログを書いている日がずれています。

Well, I recover from my sore throat and cough now somewhat.
次に待っていたのはやはり！！
つわり！

Oh well, I was expecting it to come soon or later anyway…
そう来たかぁ。。っと驚いているのと同時に、う。。ってなる時もあります。

I was taking Chinese herbal medicine for morning sickness but I thought I am okay so I quit drinking just today!
今日つわり用の漢方をやめたのに、今日つわりが来るかぁ。。っとビックリです。

Perhaps I had morning sickness but just didn’t recognize because I was sick.
きっと、そうなのでしょう。

My doctor said I have light morning sickness.
と言われたけれど、今日のつわりの様なものは本物だと実感しています。

I hope I get better soon!
お医者さんはこの時期はゆっくりすべきだから、つわりがあるのですと言っていました。

I hope my morning sickness is going to be light!

Good afternoon, everyone!

今週は天気も良く、お洗濯日和ではないでしょうか？

Since I found out I'm pregnant last week, I can't take any medicines.

少々咳が治まらず、抗生物質が喉から手が出るほど欲しいのですが、診察の結果漢方以外は今の所、摂取してはいけないとのこと。

I stopped working at downstairs. I have to rest.

その為、ゆっくり家で過ごせると思いきや！



I'm having an insomnia! I hope I can sleep well soon...

ゆっくり出来るのはいつの事やら。。(･_･、)

However, I'm still happy that I'm pregnant!
Hooray!

つわりが始まり少々苦戦していますが、その中でも楽しめたら良いなと思うます♪
