At the restaurant…
こんにちは、皆さん！
今日はお天気がとても良かったので朝、お布団を干しました！きっと、今日寝るときにはふかふかのお布団で、今から夜になるのがとても楽しみです。
さて、皆さん。今日は日ごろ皆さんがレストランに行った時の事をお話しましょう。
Well, have you been to a restaurant lately? I have. I also work at the restaurant during the busy hour. Today, there were several young women group and men group. First, the ladies came in and gentlemen came in next.
Since ladies finished eating the lunch first, they were relaxing at the tatami mat seat. However, one of the ladies started to lie down on the tatami mat. Probably she was tired.
他にもお客さんがいらっしゃったので、「すみません、隣にもお客様がいらっしゃいますので。。」っとお声をかけると、「何？起きってって言ってる訳？」っと渋々重い体を上げました。
Now, I want you to tell me, what is wrong with this situation? Do you agree with the lady or do you agree with me. I believe if you visit a restaurant, you need to understand there are some manners.
皆さんは行くレストランによって、お友達と一緒なら横たわる事が出来ますか？それとも出来ませんか？レストランでは横になってはいけないというマナーがない限り、横になってもよいのでしょうか？
海外では畳などはないので大体イスに座ります。そういった文化の違いなのか、日本ではレストランで横になる方々がたまにいます。しかし、女性も男性も本土からの人でした。従業員に聞く所、沖縄では横になるのが許されている所もあるそうです。
レストランでのマナーとは、一体何なのでしょうね？
